Make sure to explore the Connecticut History Day Website! The Educators Resources page has downloadable copies of the 2018 Theme Book, the Educators Handbook, a 40-page booklet with Connecticut topics relating to this year’s NHD theme, the Student Guide, and the current NHD Rulebook in both Spanish and English. We will update the Educator's Blog 3-4 times each month, so check back for helpful tips and information from fellow educators, alumni, judges, and CHD coordinators. CHD has a Facebook page! The address is www.facebook.com/CTHistoryDay. Many of you may know my colleague, Nicole Sousa, who assists me with History Day. She does a great job of managing the Facebook page. Follow posts for topic ideas, research resources, and inspirational stories. The National History Day website has some outstanding teacher resources, including a video series designed for new NHD teachers, as well as curriculum resources. Their website is located at https://nhd.org On behalf of Nicole and the five Regional Coordinators, I am pleased to welcome you and your students to another year of Connecticut History Day! Never hesitate to contact us at info@historydayct.org or 860.368.0738 with questions, concerns, or if you need assistance. Sincerely, Rebecca Taber-Conover Head of History Day
